SEMINAR IN COOPERATION – 5th Adhesive seminar

Material characterization and process control

As one of the oldest joining technologies, adhesive bonding is still very current and versatile today. However, the correct selection and processing of a suitable adhesive is an important prerequisite for successful application. For this, knowledge of the rheological and dynamic-mechanical properties of the adhesives used is crucial. Properties such as flow behavior, glass transition, optimum curing temperature or deformation behavior are important parameters that influence subsequent bonding.

With this seminar, ifw Jena in cooperation with Anton Paar Germany GmbH provides an overview of the rheological and dynamic-mechanical properties of adhesives and the experimental methods for their determination. This seminar provides a comprehensive insight into the application of the methods of rheology and DMTA for practical use. Also presented is a new innovative method for the characterization of adhesives.
