Funding your training as International Welding Specialist

Welding training at ifw Jena can be supported by various public funding opportunities. As of this year, funding is also available for training to become an international welding specialist.

The ifw Jena has been training welders in all common processes for over 30 years. Both employees and job seekers can take advantage of various funding opportunities for their welding training. This relieves the financial burden on course participants and enables more people to receive optimal vocational training and further education.

The Qualification Opportunities Act, for example, subsidizes up to 100% of training course costs for employees in companies. The prerequisite is that the training lasts at least four weeks.

Since the beginning of 2024, it has also been possible to apply for funding for training as an international welding specialist. The training takes place at ifw Jena every Friday and Saturday from November to March while working. As the employment of a welding specialist as a supervisor is a prerequisite in many companies in order to carry out welding work, it is necessary for many employers to provide employees with further training. The possibility of applying for funding for training from this year onwards will now enable even more companies to employ welding specialists and thus expand their fields of activity.

The next training course for international welding specialists starts on November 8, 2024.

We will be happy to advise you on training and the various options for supporting your further training at ifw Jena with public funding.
