WELDING PROCEDURE TEST

For the qualification of preliminary welding instructions, welding process tests on metallic materials are carried out in the material testing laboratory of ifw Jena. The main purpose of qualifying the welding process is to prove that the joining process proposed for the construction is suitable for making joints that meet the mechanical properties of the intended application.

In the material testing laboratory mainly the following international rules are applied:

DIN EN ISO 15614-1

• Welding – arc stud welding of metallic materials
